DogwoodNC's Instructions for Matching Games

  • Goal
    • The goal is to find matching pairs for all of the tiles.
  • Preparation
    • For some puzzles, you can select whether you want to play a more difficult puzzle ("More tiles") or an easier one ("Fewer tiles 1" or "Fewer tiles 2").
    • Click one of the buttons at the top of the screen to select the size of the tiles. You can also use the Zoom function, if your browser supports it.
    • Note that the puzzle works in both portrait and landscape modes, and on PC, tablet, and mobile devices. On smaller screens, landscape mode is recommended.

  • Play
    • To start, turn over any two tiles. If they match, they'll stay visible. If not, they'll flip back over.
    • Remember what was on each tile and continue matching tiles.
    • The game is over when you've matched all the tiles.

  • Notes
    • To shuffle the tiles and start a new puzzle, click Shuffle/Start a New Puzzle.
    • Note that each time you play, the tiles are shuffled, so the puzzle is different.
