but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

1. Beware of false teachers, and watch what they say.
They'll tickle your ears and escort you astray.
They'll advocate evil and sneak in your mind
With notions contrary to God's pure design.

Chorus: God's word is the standard, so be very sure
To cling to it daily, avoiding sin's lure.
Opinions can easily lead you astray,
So strive to stay steadfast in His narrow way.

2. Remember that truth is forever the same,
Though mockers will often give a sin a new name.
They'll redefine evil and hearts they will fill
With notions contrary to God's holy will.
