1. O Lord our Lord, we bless your name,
Your love and goodness praise,
That You, O Lord, so graciously
Have been with us always.
You brought us all together, Lord,
To be admonished through your word.
Bestow on us your grace.

2. O may your servant be endowed
With wisdom from on high,
To preach your word with truth and pow'r,
Your name to glorify.
Give hunger for your word always,
So we can better give you praise;
This should be our desire.

3. Put wisdom in our hearts while here;
On earth, your will be known;
Your word through grace to understand
What yo would have us do;
To live in righteousness, O Lord,
Submissive to your holy Word,
So hearts and minds are true.

4. All glory be yours only, Lord,
Likewise all might and pow'r.
Thus we praise you when we meet now
And thank you ev'ry hour.
With all our hearts we pray, O Lord,
That you be with us ev'ry day,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
