Words

1. With God, we weave our lifetimes in lovely tapestries;
The patterns are quite intricate; they show our histories.
We do not always understand the threads in His design,
but we can trust the Weaver's hand, because He is divine.

2. Our lives are flawless weavings with exquisite designs;
But we see seams and tangled knots, and crooked, broken lines.
Since we just see from underneath, we trust in Him to guide.
For God can see a masterpiece when on the upper side.

3. Sometimes the threads are silver and some threads are fine gold;
But others are a darker hue when grief or pain unfold.
The Weaver's hand can use all threads no matter what their hue
To blend into a tapestry that's beautiful to view.

4. Someday, when life is ended, with Him we shall abide.
Then we shall see the masterpiece when on the upper side.
Then we shall come to understand how pain and joy, combined,
Were woven in the fabric of the lives that God designed. .
